Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker Vacumatic Junior, the difference between a Major and a Junior is the trim, otherwise they are the same size.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1946 (the date code on the barrel is a clear 6 with one dot.)
Length 5-1/8.
Filling System Vacumatic plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is working well. This has the late plastic plunger system.
Color Azure Pearl body and cap with gold plated trim. It has alternating blue-gray pearl bands and semi-transparent amber bands. The cap has a black cap jewel and a pair of narrow cap bands.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It is smooth and springy with nice tipping material. The original two-tone masking indicates the nib was from a nicer deluxe model, and the masking is present enough to seem complete, but in the photographs it looks worn. The nib has a date code of 1 with one dot.
Condition Excellent condition. The imprint on the barrel is clear and the barrel has very good transparency. There are several bite marks on the blind cap and some long microscratches on the cap and barrel. No cracks, chips, dents, or major scratches. There is some wear around the cap bands and some plating wear on the trim.
