Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker Vacumatic
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1946 (The imprint on the barrel is very clear, and the number looks like "6" with no dots, so it's from the fourth quarter of 1946. The nib has a date code of 1948 with 3 dots, indicating first quarter. The nib may be a later replacement, or the pen could have been made up of parts with dates that don't match.)
Length 5-1/16 inches
Filling System Vacumatic plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is in working condition.
Color Green striped bodies with gold filled trim-- good visibility thru the body.
Nib 14k fine nib.
Condition Near mint condition. The pen's body is smooth and largely free from scratches and marks, though there are signs of very light use. The imprint is good and readable. The gold filled clips are excellent with no brassing, as are the cap bands. The black jewel is excellent. The cap has one band. Personalized with the name Walter E Goebel on the barrel, but it is subtle and not easy to see. This is a nice pen which should be a dependable writer for years to come.
