Product Description
Type Vintage Fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Slender
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1937 (The date code is 37 = third quarter of 1937. The Lockdown filler places this pen in that decade rather than the 1940s)
Length 4-5/8"
Filling System Vacumatic filler is in excellent working condition. The filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.) It has a lockdown filling system.
Color Grey pearl with steel trim. There are two jewels, both of which have the same striped pattern as the rest of the pen. The cap has a narrow trio of bands.
Nib EXTRA-FINE Parker nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a nice-sized pen in a classic design and with nice coloration, including shiny pearlization. The clip and clip ring have heavy scratching as well as plating wear along the edges. The cap bands have microscratching and plating wear. The cap and cap top jewel have moderate scratching. The barrel color has darkened, so it's difficult to see the ink level unless you have strong lighting. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and light to moderate scratching. The blind cap tassie has scratching and some brassing around the lower edge. The jewel at the end of the barrel looks nice. The imprint is somewhat worn down, but still readable.
