Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Vacumatic Slender, this is one of the uncatalogued models created during the phasing out period of the burgundy pearl.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- no date code on the barrel. The first generation "Slender" pens with lockdown fillers were last cataloged in 1937 but the burgundy is an uncatalogued model. We daye it somewhere between 1937 and 1940.
Length 4-5/8 inches.
Filling System Vacumatic filler. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well. We'll include a handout on the use of this filling system.
Color Burgundy pearl color with gold filled trim, three thin cap bands, and a striped jewel on the top and bottom of the pen.
Nib FINE gold two-tone Parker Arrow style nib is smooth. The masking is excellent and not at all worn.
Condition Excellent + condition. The cap bands have no plating wear. There are some small scratches and marks on the cap and barrel. There's a bit of brassing on the end of the clip and on the cap tassie. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The barrel clarity is really strong, and the imprint is clear. The pen has been fully restored and is working very well.
