Product Name Parker Vacumatic Standard
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA -- 1933-34 (No date code on the barrel, so it was made before Parker started using date codes. It has a Vacumatic imprint, which Parker introduced in 1933. The nib has a "16" date code, indicating 1936, so it may have been a slightly later replacement.)
Length 5-1/16".
Filling System Vacumatic lockdown plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is in excellent working condition. The bladder has been replaced and the pen has been tested.
Color Black with lengthwise striation in the barrel with a black section and three narrow cap bands. There is a black jewel on each end of the pen and the trim is gold plated.
Nib FINE 14k nib is a smooth writer and very firm. Some of the masking has been polished away.
Condition Superior condition. There is light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The clip and clip ring have light brassing. The cap bands have tiny touches of brassing on the edges, as well as some scratching. The blind cap has a few light marks. Both jewels have some scratching, but no chips, bite marks, or dents. No personalization. The barrel imprint is clear.
