Product Description
Type Vintage Fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Standard, this is the same size as the Streamline Standards from 1940.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1936 (we think the barrel imprint has a 46 date code, but it's quite smoothed down. The second digit is easier to make out than the first.)
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Vacumatic filler is in excellent working condition. The filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.) It has a lockdown filling system.
Color Silver Pearl body and cap with nickel or chrome plated trim. It has alternating silver grey pearl bands and semi-transparent amber bands. Striped jewels. The cap has a trio of narrow bands. (The section looks a little brown, but we thinking this is just staining/discoloration.)
Nib Fine 14k nib. Writes smoothly. The masking on the nib is mostly polished away.
Condition Excellent + condition. The barrel doesn't have much transparency. The barrel imprint is smoothed down, especially towards the right side. There is light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The clip and clip ring have scratching and some brassing; there are also two small dings on the arrow's shaft about halfway down the feathers. The cap rings have brassing on the edges. Both jewels look good with just light scratching.
