Product Description
Type Fountain pen with vacumatic filling system and twist mechanical pencil
Product Name Parker Vacumatic Sub-Deb (this is the smallest size of vacumatic, also called "slender junior" on the parkercollector web site.).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1937-8 (The date code on the pen is a 7 with no dots and the date code on the pencil is an 8 with three dots).
Length Both are 4-3/4"
Filling System The fountain pen is a speedline vacumatic, just restored here at PSP. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads and extends and retracts well with its twist mechanism.
Color Laminated Azure Blue is a striped blue and brown pattern where the brown is semi-transparent and the blue has a gradient. It has a relatively thin cap band and black cap jewels. The fountain pen also has a barrel jewel. The trim is gold filled.
Nib Extra fine gold nib is in excellent condition. The design is not centered well.
Condition Superior Condition. The pencil looks better than the pen but both look very nice. Really gorgeous with good barrel clarity. The fountain pen has enough handwear that the light shines off of it a bit unevenly but there are markings that stand out. The imprint is legible but is partially worn whereas the pencil imprint is crisp. The pencil also has its original sticker on it. No bite marks, dents, or other signs of wear. Ships in a white Parker box, probably the original.
