Type Vintage Fountain Pen
Product Name Parker VS (Vacumatic Successor)
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1947 (based on date code on the barrel)
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Button filler with aluminum button and plastic threaded surround. We restored the filling system and it works beautifully. We'll guarantee it for a period of one year from purchase.
Color Reddish brown body with a Lustraloy (brushed steel) cap.
Nib 14k Vacumatic style fine nib. Lots of tipping material in evidence, the nib looks great.
Condition Excellent condition, no cracks or chips or cap dents, with the main blemish of the pen being the discoloration at the end of the section below the nib. (This is not uncommon for the lighter pens. The lighter color stains easily.) The brick red like color is very striking next to the lustraloy cap and it has minimal barrel scratches which appear to be handwear. The cap has polishing marks and one shiny mark from the end of the clip brushing the lustraloy coating. There is also a cluster of tiny pin sized marks near the end of the barrel, see photo. Works great.
