Manufacturer and Year Pelikan, Germany - mid to late 1940s. (1939-49 were the years they were making this nib which overlapped with this model production. The imprint on the cap says Pelikan PATENT Peilkan PATENT which is the later version mark appearing on these 100s).
Length 4-5/8 inches.
Filling System Piston filling system. We've cleaned and tested it to ensure that it is working properly.
Color Grey marbled color with a transparent green part of the barrel and transparent green section. Black cap and knob. Gold plated trim. (We are fairly confident the color is grey and not green.)
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Pelikan CN chrome nickel nib is smooth with lovely, though slightly lopsided, tipping material. The nib is a little scratched but this does not affect the way it writes. It's got nice everyday flex to it and writes very wet, with easy line variation from medium to a thick double broad without much pressure at all. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, or dents. The clip shows a little brassing and wear toward its tip, and there are some marks on the bands. There are a few very light scratches on the cap and barrel. Much of the green coloring is still in the Pelikan symbol on the top of the cap, and there are bits of green still visible in the other imprints. The pen has been cleaned and tested and it's working very well.
There's an engraving on the cap which reads "Rudi Wünschmann" and is colored in with green like the other markings on the pen. The clip has been situated to mostly cover this personalization (see photos).
