Product Description
Type Piston filling fountain pen - NON-WORKING cutaway demonstrator.
Product Name 100 (this is an early version that has hard rubber elements.)
Manufacturer and Year Pelikan, Germany - 1931-1944.
Length 4-5/8 inches.
Filling System Piston filling system.
Color Green marbled color with a transparent brown viewing section. Both end pieces are hard rubber. Gold plated trim.
Nib OB 14k nib. Very strange nib with no slit and no tipping material, possibly intended for these non-functioning demonstrators.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, or dents. The imprints are very clear and filled in with a green that matches the barrel.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A WORKING PEN. Nearly every part of this pen has a portion removed to show the details of the inner workings. It will not hold ink, because there is no seal at the end of the piston, and also a portion of the reservoir has been cut out. The nib does not have a slit to allow the ink to flow down. It does show intimately all of the inner workings of a vintage fountain pen and makes a great teaching tool or conversation piece.
We do not recommend taking this pen apart, as it is difficult to reassemble and get the cutouts properly realigned. We can't give you a refund if the pen has been tampered with.
