Product Name 400. Pelikan introduced the 400 model in May 1950, and the green demonstrator was only produced in low volume, and only in 1950. The first pens in this series had friction fit nibs, but after August they switched to screw-in units. This variant without a cap band is very rare!

Color Transparent green, including transparent derby, with gold colored trim. Logo on cap top has two chicks. You can see the filling system through the body.
Nib 14k OBB, screw-in unit. This is a gorgeous nib, very desirable. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no scratches, cracks, chips, or dents. Microscratching all over, and some plating wear on the clip.
