Color Black pen with striped green binde and gold plated trim. There are two bands around the blind cap and two bands on the cap.
Nib FINE 18K two-tone nib. the M1000 nibs are very soft and generally put down a much wider line than you'd expect; this one easily puts down a wide medium line, bordering on broad. You can also get a bit of line variation. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. It lacks the common wear on the collar beneath the nib. It has great trim and some handwear. There is a small (about 1/4" long) crack in the binde ("band" - the striped veneer over the barrel), but it does not breach the barrel in any way and is very hard to see. We tried to take a photo below, but the crack was very hard to capture. The "binde" is a colored shell that covers the ink chamber, it does not come in contact with the ink. We've tested this pen extensively and there are no leaks. We've priced the pen accordingly. The Pelikan logo on the cap is crisp and the barrel clarity is excellent.
