Filling System Differential Piston-filling system. Tested and working well.
Color The barrel is engraved on a sleeve of solid 925 silver with 24k gold overlay. Cap and end pieces are marbled dark green. The top of the cap has the Pelikan logo.
Nib Fine 18k gold nib embellished with platinum.
Condition Near mint condition, in original wood box with paperwork. Trace amounts of handwear and polishing marks, but overall very clean and shiny. No cracks, or notable scratches. This is a large, heavy, and beautifully engraved pen. Tested and working well. The imprints are clear. There is some patina on the vermeil work that you can see in the photos, but we have lightly polished away some of it. The wood box is in nearly perfect shape, with just some small scuffs along edges. The box comes wrapped in a velvet bag, and two protective outer cardboard boxes - one specific to this model, and the other a plain white one. The packaging is quite elaborate and the pen is simply stunning! Booklet and certificate included.
