Color Ivory colored celluloid with a lengthwise monochromatic striped pattern. Handpainted with blue and gold artwork in an intricate design. Gold-plated clip.
Nib FINE Stipula titanium nib with a blue colored finish. These titanium nibs are soft, and often touted as semi-flexible. Be aware that these nibs can be "sprung" fairly easily and it's very difficult to repair that, so we do not recommend trying to use these for their flexibility unless you really know what you're doing.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a lovely work of art! No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. Very light handwear. There's one small spot at the end of the barrel that's a little rough and bubbly, almost like it's burnt, but it doesn't affect the pen's function.
We found information on an old blog post that suggests that the pen was made by/for Penopoly. Note that this pen is a prototype and the shape doesn't match what's pictured on the blog, but the artwork matches that of one called "Floridian Deco" by Caron Dunn, about halfway down the page.
