Nib SF - 14k gold Soft Fine nib. Pilot doesn't advertise this as a "flex" pen, though it has that reputation in the fountain pen community; it's semi-flexible at best. The softness of the nib is such that if you want to use it for daily writing you can, without having to flex it out. If you do want to showcase line variation, all you need to do is hold the pen at a low angle to the paper, and increase your writing pressure on the downstrokes and it's there for when you need it. It does provide noticeable line variation, but you can easily overdo it; be aware of that as you use the pen. We cannot offer a refund on a sprung or damaged nib.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some threading-type scratches around the section; we've included a picture focusing on this area. Beyond that, there's some light handwear and microscratching but no cracks, noticeable scratches or dents. There's evidence that the pen has been used, but it's only visible under magnification.
