Product Description
Type Extremely collectible, limited edition fountain pen
Product Name Nearlux M90 - in 2009, for their 90th anniverary, Pilot released the M90, a nod to the 1971 MYU. Here's a great write-up on these very collectible models (some of the pictures may not load, but the information is good).
Manufacturer and Year Pilot, Japan -- 2008 is the official release date of these pens, and this one has a date code of 1108. There were only 9000 of these pens made.
Length 4-11/16" capped, 5-1/2" posted.
Filling System Pilot cartridges or short converters. A CON-20 converter is installed (we also tested a CON-40 and that fits).
Color Stainless steel (brushed) with a shiny clip. There is a blue spinel set in the top of the cap.
Nib MEDIUM integrated nib, just as smooth as you'd expect from a Pilot nib.
Condition Excellent + in box. Under magnification, we see some scratches on the section and barrel from the cap lip; when the pen is in hand they blend into the pen's brushed surface quite nicely. The pen otherwise looks fantastic. The clip is perfect, no brassing, plating wear, or even polishing marks. Ships in original unique box with paperwork and outer cardboard sleeve.
