Manufacturer and Year Pilot, Japan -- 2010s, the nib has a date code of 314, indicating 2014, but it is a replacement nib as these black pens usually came with masked nibs.

Filling System Pilot cartridge or converter. A good CON-20 converter is installed. You can use Pilot cartridges with an adapter and the piston filling Pilot converters. Sometimes the ink creates a vacuum though and the piston converters are extra difficult to remove. The adapter for cartridges is not mandatory but is recommended to ensure consistent clicking.
Color Matte black with black colored trim. The black is smooth.
Nib FINE 18k nib is smooth and somewhat firm with lovely tipping material. Marked F. This is a replacement nib. The original nib has black masking. As a note, the vanishing point nib units have subtly changed over time and not all are interchangeable.
Condition Near Mint condition. This pen looks perfect, but we know it is used. The nib is a replacement but otherwise it could pass as new. The pen works perfectly.
