Product Description
Type Fountain Pen with a decorated sheepskin exterior
Product Name Sheepskin Yuzen-zomi Gosho-guruma. One of the series of sheepskin printed pens from 1974, "Yuzen-zomi" meaning with fast colors, this exact model is shown in the wonderful Lambrou-Sunami Japanese pens book, page 302. Apparently the design is called "Gosho-guruma" and depicts some sort of cart for a noble person.
Manufacturer and Year Platinum, Japan, 1974
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Converter or cartridge filler. We'll include a new Platinum converter.
Color Sheepskin with a printed design in blue and cream and red. The trim is gold plated.
Nib The 18k nib is marked fine, and another symbol which I cannot translate. I don't think it is the "soft" indicator, though the nib does have a bit of give and could be considered semi-flexible. The nib is in really nice condition, with good tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition, no tears or scratches in the sheepskin surface. The trim is in very nice condition, though the thin cap band shows some plating loss. The nib and section are in excellent condition, as is the inset gold piece on the section.
