Color Biwatame - black urushi with underlayers of tan that peek through on the edges. Gold plated trim. Over time, more of the brown will be revealed. It has rounded ends and the shape is similar to the Platinum 3776 but with a different clip.
Nib Broad two-toned 18k nib, labeled B. Japanese nibs run fine so this is similar to a western medium nib. The imprint and masking are in great condition.
Condition Excellent condition. The only real blemish is the trim ring just behind the nib, which does have plating wear and some corrosion. The great thing about urushi is that it's very tough and won't show a lot of wear. This pen is no different - there are minimal marks, no scratches or chips in the finish. The clip has some light surface scratching, but no brassing or plating wear. The pen is working well and gorgeous. No box or paperwork.
