Product Description
Type Vintage technical pen.
Product Name Rapidograph No. 1 (marked on the lower barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Koh-i-Noor, made in Germany -- circa 1930s or '40s. It is really an early style and the cap does not resemble the familiar Rapidograph cap.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Piston filling system. The tip is possibly clogged, or the seals are bad, so we couldn't test the filling system, though the piston does move freely up and down.
Color Black hard rubber cap and end piece, with a clear and black plastic barrel.
Nib #1 wire stylus point
Condition Very nice condtion cosmetically. We were able to confirm the piston moves up and down, but the pen doesn't take in water so it needs further restoration to work. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. There's some brassing on the cap band and the clip, and a few tiny scratches on the cap and barrel, as well as some slight hand wear.
