Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Reforme Victory is what's imprinted on the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Reforme, possibly Germany -- circa mid-20th century. We know that there was a Reform pen company in Germany, and the logo in the barrel imprint bears some resemblance to a logo that company used, which looks like a winged R. But the final "e" in the spelling has us stumped.
Length 5-1/16".
Filling System Button filler. It's been restored and is working well.
Color Black with gold plated trim. Three cap bands with a sort of checkboard pattern imprinted on them. We believe it's actually one wide cap band, but with black lines painted to make it look like 3 gold bands.
Nib Fine nib that's imprinted with "Pallix 320 Garantie nib", with some flexibility. We got line variation from fine to broad with light pressure - see our writing sample below. It looks like it used to be gold-plated, but most of that is worn away.
Condition Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, dings, dents, or personalization. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching, and the surface looks a little dull in hand as a result. The clip ring is brassed, and we see some brassing along the edges of the clip. The cap bands have brassing along the edges. The section has lengthwise scratches, and there are marks on the barrel caused by the cap lip. The rest of the barrel has scratching. The imprint is somewhat worn but still readable.
