Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Senior, as marked on the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Made for Regent in England, this store brand had pens made by Onoto de la Rue, Conway Stewart, and Wyvern. Based off of its appearance we're leaning towards this being a Wyvern production but we're not sure. -- Likely 1920s or early 1930s. Below the Regent imprint, in the same style, is "FDB" which may be a personalization or just an addition to the imprint itself.
Length Just over 5-1/2"
Filling System The fountain pen has a button filling system, and we have replaced the bladder and it works well.
Color Red with black hard rubber end pieces and sections. A nice bright orange. It has gold filled trim including two narrow cap bands.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It is large and writes smoothly. The pen has nice tipping. It's closer to a medium-fine than a true fine.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are a few marks on the barrel and cap, but it is otherwise very sharp and clean looking. The cap bands and clip have plating wear on the edges. The clip band is particularly brassed. The blind cap and the black cap hard rubber have lightened some. The imprint on the barrel is no longer completely filled in, but it is completely legible.
