Product Description
Type Vintage lever fill fountain pen
Product Name Part of the Monogram Line, referring to the pens made by Kraker for Rexall Stores
Manufacturer and YearKraker "Monogram", USA -- 1920s or 1930s.
Length 5-1/14"
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color Marbled green celluloid with two thin cap bands. The section is black and the trim is gold filled.
Nib FINE 14k Forever nib. Some think the "Forever" is similar to the "Lifetime" guarantee on Sheaffer nibs of the same era. Some of the later pens made for Rexall say, "Everlasting." This nib is springy and writes smoothly. We'd call it semi-flex, but it doesn't yield much line variation.
Condition Excellent + condition. The color is very even. There is an area of wear towards the end of the barrel in line with cap contact from posting and the cap bands and clip are brassed. The barrel imprint is partially legible with the text, "Monogram" clearly legible but only the N is very clear on the second line which should read, "Non-breakable". The pen has handwear but no cracks, chips, dents, or major scratches.
