Product Name Rotring 400, this is the later Japanese version. There was an earlier Rotring 400 made in Germany with different red band placement.
Manufacturer and Year Rotring, made in Japan -- 1990s, based off of the country of manufacture. The original model was introduced in the 1980s.
Length 5-1/2".
Filling System Takes 0.5mm leads. It uses a clicker mechanism to extend and retract the leads. There is also a button on the side of the clip to retract the entire tip.
Color Matte chrome with a "knurled" or ribbed grip and the rOtring red band. The pencil cone, clip, and clicker are all polished metal.
Condition Excellent condition. There are a few marks near the button that retracts the tip and the clicker has two shallow dents. The finish looks perfect.
