Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Newton. Identified as the Newton (as opposed to the original 600) based on a few characteristics ... no knurling, no nib size rotating indicator, no model name on the cap. Regardless, Rotring still labelled the pen as a 600 on the box.
Manufacturer and Year Rotring for Levenger, made in Germany -- 1990s. Most of the Newtons are marked Japan, but finding one with a Germany imprint is not unheard of.
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Takes standard converter refills. A new converter is included.
Nib Medium steel nib.
Color Lava - a textured charcoal grey that looks like a cross between asphalt and pencil lead over brass with red band and a matte silver accommodation clip.
Condition Excellent +, in box with paperwork. It has been inked, but there are very few signs of wear. Some of the coating on the tabs that align the cap in place has worn away, revealing the brass underneath. The nib size sticker is still affixed to the end of the barrel. Ships in Rotring clamshell case with outer cardboard box and paperwork. The box is torn and has some wear, but the clamshell case looks fantastic.
