Filling System: S T Dupont ballpoint refills are required for the pen (they appear similar to Cross pen refills, but the Cross refills do not fit. Monteverde does make a refill that fits these older S T Dupont ballpoint pens). A working refill is installed in the pen. The mechanical pencil takes 0.7mm leads.
Color: Chinese lacquer. Red (a deep, dark, red) and gold trim. Both pieces have serial numbers stamped on the sides of the clips. The pen has 45AEV39. The pencil's serial number is 45CFA46.
Condition: Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a super slim, shiny, and supremely elegant ballpoint and mechanical pencil set. The caps and barrels look fantastic. The trim on both pieces (including cones, clips, cap bands, and cap rings) have light to moderate microscratching. The imprints on both pieces as well as serial numbers are clear.
