Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name La Plume Ultime
Manufacturer and Year S.T. Dupont, France -- 1980s
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Takes older S.T. Dupont cartridges and converters or Parker style cartridges and converters. To access the converter, you need to unscrew the short section, which can be a little tricky because it's hard to get a grip on. In order to start the section unscrewing, you put the cap on but don't push it on all the way so that it snaps, then turn it and the section will start to unscrew, and you can finish unscrewing it with your fingers.
Color Silver with silver-colored trim, and a pattern of tiny squares on the cap and barrel. There are no hallmarks, so we don't believe that this is solid sterling silver, however it does tarnish so we think it is silver plated. The serial number 57GNN32 is on the clip.
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny, glinty pen that is straight and sturdy. The cap and barrel look lovely with all the tiny squares intact. There is light microscratching on some of the little squares. Although the cap photos seem to indicate some dark areas, this is not the case. The silver top piece has polishing marks. The side silver pieces on the clip have moderate microscratching. All imprints are clear.
