Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Lady Mascara
Manufacturer and Year S.T. Dupont, France -- circa 1980s
Length 4-1/2" capped, and 5-7/16" with cap posted.
Filling System Takes older S.T. Dupont short cartridges or Parker style mini ink cartridges ONLY. The barrel is too short to accomodate a converter. In order to access the barrel you put the cap on but don't push it on all the way so that it snaps, then turn it and the section will start to unscrew, and you can finish unscrewing it with your fingers. We will enclose one Dupont short ink cartridge.
Color Silver spiral. The cap and barrel are both silver-plated, and there is a line that spirals up or down the length of the cap and barrel. The nib is yellow gold, and there is a gold-colored overlay on the section that's visible where the cap is removed.
Nib Fine 18k nib, labeled F.
Condition Excellent + condition. There's light handwear and microscratching. The pen presents nicely in the hand, very elegant and shiny. The cap and barrel have light scratching visible under magnification. The trim ring nearest to the nib is free of corrosion or plating wear. The silver-plated trim portions have microscratching and polishing marks, but no brassing or plating wear. S T Dupont's plating is really great quality, we hardly ever see brassing on it! There is a bit of tarnish in the grooves at both ends of the pen. The imprints are clear. The middle trim band bears the serial number 5G5GGO3.
