Color Black ribbed surface with gold trim.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE 21k Naginata-Togi nib. Marked "NMF" on the side of the nib. From Sailor's web site: "The shape of a Naginata-togi nib is rather long compared with other pen nibs. The pen point is ground into a shape similar to the blade of a Naginata sword. This unique pen nib allows a broad range of writing angles and provides smooth calligraphy even when writing with light pressure." Lower writing angles give you a broader line, and you should be able to see line variation depending on the angle of the pen.
Condition Near Mint condition, we don't think it was ever inked. No marks or signs of usage. No scratches, cracks, dents, or plating wear. Demand for these nibs is very high, and it's difficult to get them outside of Japan. Ships in Sailor box with paperwork and a polishing cloth.
