Product Description
Type Modern fountain pen with a uniquely engineered nib and a lovely hand-finished surface.
Product Name Pocket Six is the base model, solid copper. We were told this is a one-of-a-kind.
Manufacturer and Year Schon DSGN, USA - current production, though we think that special hammered finishes like this one aren't regular releases.
Length Pocket sized - 3-1/2" capped. Without the cap, it's 3-3/8" long, and with the cap posted, it's 5-1/4" long. The end of the barrel is threaded to securely post the cap.
Filling System Short international cartridge ONLY. The barrel isn't long enough to accept a converter, and with the metal interior it is not recommended.
Color Patinaed copper. The surface of the pen also has a unique finish - some parts are hammered, some are smooth.
Nib Medium Monoc titanium nib. This nib was designed and is produced only by Schon DSGN. It's made of a single piece of solid titanium, and the feed is made of ULTEM, a medical-grade engineered plastic. The company has more information and FAQs on their web site.
Condition Excellent + condition. This is a really cool little pen. Note that although small, the pen is relatively heavy - 1.7 oz, or 48 grams. There are no cracks, chips, dents, or dings on the pen. There is some handwear and light scratching.
DO NOT clean this pen with any cleaning solution containing ammonia! Most pen flushes have some ammonia in them, as does Windex and other common household cleaners. Ammonia will degrade the Ultem material. Soap and water should be sufficient, but alcohol can be safely used as well.
