Filling System Piston filler. The piston knob is underneath the blind cap. The filling system was tested and is working well, and we will guarantee it for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Black with gold-plated trim.
Nib Medium two-toned gold plated nib, with an ebonite feed. Firm and smooth. The nib is marked "Iridium Point Germany M", along with the Senator logo.
Condition Near mint condition. This is a large, impressive-looking executive styled pen. There is light handwear, but no large individual marks or blemishes. The piston mechanism works smoothly and well. No brassing or plating wear on the trim. The nib masking looks great. The ink viewing window is clear, no visible residue or staining.
There's not much information about vintage Senator pens. The company has been around since 1920, and is apparently known for quality pens, though in recent years they have pivoted to producing promotional products. We did find several positive threads on FPN about the model.
