Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in their box.
Product Name Cartridge pen with "Stylpoint" style semi-hooded nib and slanted cap end, from a low-end series.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in Canada -- circa 1960s, it must be from before 1966 or so when they changed their branding to "Sheaffer," rather than "Sheaffer's."
Length Fountain pen is just over 4-15/16", the pencil is just over 4-13/16".
Filling System The pen takes Sheaffer Cartridges (which are still made). No converters will fit. The piston converter is too thick and the squeeze converter is too long. An unused cartridge will be included. The pencil takes 0.9mm (aka "Thin") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cap piece to extend the lead). It has an eraser beneath the cap.
Color Black with gold plated caps and trim.
Nib FINE steel nib (marked on barrel as such) looks like the nibs on the Imperial I pens, the Stylpoint nib. It's smooth and firm.
Condition Near Mint condition in box. Both pens have what could be storage wear. There's a chance that the pen has never been used but the pencil definitely has been. The barrel stamp is still on the fountain pen. There's a few spots of wear on the cap and a few spots on the cone.
