Product Name Student Special. Flat top, slender junior size, non-white dot. This is the clip version, there is also a ringtop version.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1923-7. (In th early years, they were made of hard rubber, but this seems to be permanite.)

Filling System Lever filler - working perfectly with a new sac.
Color Black permanite (plastic), with gold filled trim.
Nib FINE 14k Sheaffer #22 Student Special nib. Firm, no flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an adorable, compact, slender pen with fantastic dark, shiny, black coloring and shiny gold trim. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and by posting. It has otherwise only light scratching. The lever has long line scratches and a dot of pitting at the end. The cap has light to moderate microscratching all over. The cap band has light microscratching and a thin line of plating wear along the lower edge. The clip has plating wear on the ball end and light scratching elsewhere. The imprints are clear.
