Product Description
Type New Old Stock vintage fountain pen
Product Name Model 444 (original sticker on the cap). "444" just indicated brushed metal, it didn't identify the actual model. This version of the Stylist has a short, Imperial-like clip, but otherwise the dimensions are the same as the Stylist with the long skinny clip. The Sheaffer Stylists started in the late 1960s with these flat, triangular nibs. They resemble the Parker 180 nibs, which featured different widths depending on which side you used. These nibs may share that characteristic, but the chalk marks only indicate one nib width.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - c. late 1960s
Length 5-1/2" long
Filling System Sheaffer cartridges or converters. A squeeze converter will be installed.
Color Brushed steel cap and barrel with gold plated trim. Black section.
Nib FINE two-way hooded reversible nib. (This is the nicer version of the nib with an actual inset arrow, but there was a cheaper version where the arrow was just painted on.)
Condition New Old Stock with original sticker on cap. Some discoloration on the inset arrow. In Sheaffer box.
