Type Vintage flat top fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name It's got a 46 Special nib, and the end of the barrel is marked D. The letter usually refers to the radite (plastic) manufacturer, D for DuPont.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1925-6. Pre-1927 when they stopped marking the ends of the barrels.
Length 4-7/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Coral (orange) radite (the same color as red hard rubber, but it's plastic) with gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM gold Sheaffer's #46 Special nib. (No flex.)
Condition Excellent condition for this small, colorful, shiny pen. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as darkened coloration just under the black section. It has moderate wear throughout with some deeper scratches near the end. The lever has light scratches, including some long ones and a bit of pitting along the top edge. The cap has moderate scratching and one scratch to the left of the top of the clip that is fairly deep. The top edge of the cap has a small chip. The cap band has microscratching and a a small bit of plating wear along the edges. The clip has plating wear on the ball end and light scratching. The imprints are clear.
