Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Sheaffer 727 (White Dot). May have been associated with the Lady Sheaffer line. This should not be confused with Sheaffer Imperial 727 of the same era, as the "727" in the model just indicates a gold filled lined design. This fountain pen is a little bit slimmer, and features a 14k conical Triumph nib instread of the inlaid nibs Sheaffer was putting on the Imperial line of pens.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - early 1970s
Length 5-3/16" capped
Filling System The pen takes Sheaffer-style blunt end cartridges or can be fitted with a squeeze converter. A squeeze converter is installed in the pen.
Color Gold plated with a lined design. It has a black section that has a purple stained area just under the nib. The original price sticker is on the cap.
Nib FINE 14k gold conical style nib. This one is the later short version of the famous Triumph nib. It says "Sheaffer 14k Made in the USA" on the nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, dents, or dings. This is a shiny, shimmery, lovely, pen with its original price sticker on the cap. The cap and barrel have light microscratching throughout. The barrel has marks caused from posting. The cap has one tiny blot of plating wear. The clip has microscratching and some light plating wear around the perfect white dot. There is a small area above the black section (which we think is probably made of hard rubber and thus absorbs the ink) that has been stained a blotchy purple. The imprints are clear.
