Product Name Balance Lifetime 1000 (this is an oversized model).
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1936-42 (those were the years they made the Balance in this color).
Length 5-9/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Golden Brown Striated with gold plated trim, a 1/8" wide cap band, and a radius style clip.
Nib MEDIUM gold two-tone Lifetime nib with a serial number. It's very smooth and firm with lovely tipping material. The masking shows only tiny spots of light wear. It has a bit of a "Waverly" upturn, adding to the smoothness and good ink flow.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some small scratches on the cap and barrel and a slight warp mark toward the end of the barrel from the cap being posted. There's a tiny bit of brassing on the edges of the lever, and some plating wear on the edges of the tip of the clip, but otherwise the trim is lovely. The pen is very clean, with no cracks, chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The imprint is really great, very readable with much of its white coloring still left in it. It's fully restored and working very well.
