Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Similar to the Balance 350, this is the long slender version.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1930s-60s (We were unable to identify the pen based off of the color. It is probably from the 1950s or 60s when the Balance stopped being made).
Length 5-7/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Solid red cap and barrel with thin cap band. Chrome plated trim.
Nib FINE 14k Sheaffer's #3 nib is fairly smooth with a nice quantity of tipping material. It has a little give to it, but no real flex.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. All of the trim is strongly intact. There are some small marks and scratches on the cap band, but generally the pen looks quite good. The imprint is clear and easily readable. The lever is a bit loose and when the pen is held upside down the lever does not stay in place. The viewing section is very transparent. We've fully restored the pen and it's working very well.
