Product Name Balance, this is the long slender version.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1936-42.
Length Pen is 5-1/16" long. Pencil is 4-3/4".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. The pencil takes .9mm leads.
Color Grey Pearl striated celluloid. Silver colored trim.
Nib Fine 14k Sheaffer's #3 nib is smooth with a nice quantity of tipping material. It's a bit springy, though the line variation is going to be minimal.
Condition Excellent + condition. Fountain pen: No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The barrel is really clean, no dents or bite marks. The imprint is clear and easily read. The plating on the clip and cap band look great, but there is a bit of brassing on the lever. We've fully restored the pen and it's working very well. Pencil: Also in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. The barrel is quite smooth, just minor handwear. All of the trim is excellent, no brassing or plating wear. The extension and retraction mechanism is really smooth and working well. It's a lovely matched set!
