Product Name Model #875, from the Balance II series, the revival series of the 1930s Balance pens.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- this color came out in 1998.
Length 5-3/4 inches.
Filling System Takes Sheaffer style cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed. Beneath the tray in the box two unused, but dried, black cartridges are present.
Color "Crimson Glow" is a beautiful marbled acrylic mix of reds with gold plated trim and two cap bands.
Nib Factory Stub 18k Nib. Sheaffer's Feather Touch nib is smooth and slightly flexible with nice tipping material. The base of the section has an S on it for "Stub." A little of the masking is starting come off the top of the tines.
Condition Near Mint condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, plating wear, or even scratching. The section looks a little dull and in certain lighting you can make out handwear. The pen could pass for new if we didn't know it had been used. We've cleaned and tested it and it's working very well.
The Balance II pens are fragile and should be handled with care. Do not post them. In original Sheaffer Balance box with label and tag. The box also contains two cartridges and paperwork.
