Product Name Balance II series, the revival series of the 1930s Balance pens. This Limited Edition fountain pen was released in 1998 by Sheaffer and Disney World. An original 1930's Balance pen was found well-used in Walt Disney's office resulting in this limited edition pen series commemorating him.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1998 LE (we have two of these ..... 0700/1000 and 0665/1000).
Length 5-3/4 inches.
Filling System Takes Sheaffer style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the included piston converter.
Color Black acrylic with gold plated trim and a 1/8" cap band. A classic Sheaffer Balance II with the Walt Disney signature on one side and Walt Disney Printed on the other.
Nib Medium 14k single tone Lifetime nib.
Condition Near mint condition, never inked. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The cap band has some light polishing marks. The Disney signature and imprint are perfect.
Though the pens are new and uninked, the original boxes are in rough condition. We photographed the worst box below, the other is slightly better. Each pen comes in the original Sheaffer Balance -- The Walt Disney Collection red box (in this case, the box has a large fabric tear on the top and some general scratching); it includes paperwork showing the limited edition number and a Sheaffer ink cartridge.
