Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition.
Product Name Balance Lifetime ... this is the full size version, not slender but also not the oversized fat model.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA - circa 1935 (this version of clip was introduced around '35, and this color was only made until about '35).
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Grey marble with red viens, gold plated trim, a "radius" style clip, and a white dot on the cap.
Nib FINE gold two tone Sheaffer Lifetime nib has nice tipping remaining, and the masking is only a little worn on the edges.
Condition Excellent condition aside from some brassing on the cap band and a few small spots on the clip (see photos). No cracks or chips, which is sort of uncommon in this color. It's restored and working well. There's light handwear on the plastic, but no serious scratches. There are a couple of marks of a colored substance which won't come off (perhaps it's dried shellac).
The barrel is engraved "Orlando Luedeke" (see photos).
