Type Lever filling fountain pen in the iconic Balance shape
Product Name Balance family. White Dot model.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - 1934-35 (it has the flat ball humped clip).
Length 4-3/4" long
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working well.
Color Black with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE 14k Lifetime nib. Some of the masking has been polished away, and there is some scratching around the front.
Condition Excellent condition. Light wear on both cap and barrel. The end of the barrel has moderate to heavy scratching. The lever bar has plating wear on the sides; the top face of the lever bar looks nice. The cap band has brassing on the edges. The clip has brassing and plating wear around the tip end and the top edge. Some of the masking has been polished away near the tip of the nib, and there is also some scratching on the front of the tines, which should not affect the writing performance. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The imprints are clear. It is restored and working well.
