Product Name This is in the Balance family; it is the fat oversize Balance version.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA, 1930s. This is the second version of the clip identified by collectors as the long round ball humped, and was only produced for two years starting in 1930-1.

Color Black and green marble celluloid. Gold plated trim. 1/8" cap band. White dot.
Nib 14k Fine Lifetime nib with serial number 4498934.
Condition Very nice condition with no chips, dents, or dings. Overall very shiny. This is a large, fat pen in a nice marbled color and in a classic design. The barrel has light scratching and marks caused by the cap lip. It has polishing marks toward the end. The lever has some pitting along the right edge. The cap has light to moderate scratching, especially at the top of the cap. The cap lip has three small cracks (see photos). The cap band and clip look great. The white dot is perfect. The imprints are clear.
