Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Black and pearl with gold plated trim. Better than average color, very uniform. The color originally had a black and pearl color scheme, but it is quite common for the white pearl portion to amber and loose its pearly character. In this case, only a few spots have ambered to the extent that they've lost their pearliness. Most of the spots are a bit darker than they were originally, but you can still see the depth of the original color. The cap band is 1/8" wide. White dot above the clip.
Nib Fine gold nib. It says Sheaffer Lifetime on it, is single tone, and stamped with serial number 1155976.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a large-sized pen in a classic design and color scheme. The "pearls" have only slightly mellowed to an eggshell color tinged with green and are very close to the original color. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as light scratching. The lever has scratching and some plating wear. The very end of the barrel has some hairline cracks in the celluloid. The cap also has some fissures in the very top, and we've included a detailed photo of that area. The cap band has several spots of wear on the bottom edge. The clip looks excellent with just a bit of brassing around the flat end. The white dot is a creamy color. The imprints are clear.
