Condition Very Nice condition, restored and working well. The fountain pen has a number of fairly deep bite marks near the end of the barrel, which we've highlighted in the photos. There is a short crack in the cap lip, which extends underneath the cap band, but not beyond it. Cap band has some brassing, especially along the edges. The clip has brassing and plating wear. The section is slightly discolored, but the ink viewing window is clear. The barrel is personalized with the name "THELMA GILKESON". The White Dot looks good, just slightly yellowed with age. The pencil has light wear and scratching, and is in better shape than the pen. Light scratching and handwear. Light brassing on the edges of the cap band, and some brassing and plating wear on the clip. The nose cone also has brassing at the very tip of the nose cone. The pencil's operation is very smooth, extending and retracting the lead with ease. The pencil is also personalized, but with the name "GEORGE G MARTIN" so we are guessing these writing instruments were not originally paired.
