Product Name Sheaffer Balance Signature. The Signature models had solid gold cap bands which could be engraved with the owner's signature.

Filling System This pencil takes 1.1mm leads. The leads are extended by twisting the cap portion of the pencil.
Color Brown striated with 10k gold trim (marked on cap band). 1/4" cap band is engraved: "F.B. Frank" (?) in italic lettering. The photographs are darker than the actual color of the pencil that has some lovely lightness that shines through it.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dainty pencil in a very pretty shimmery color pattern. The pencil has light to moderate wear. This includes the clip but not the nose cone or the cap band both of which look very nice. The barrel has the letters VOGT printed just below the cap band on the barrel, but it looks like a manufacturer's mark and not personalization. There is an eraser but it is dried out. The imprints are nice and crisp.
