Type Mechanical pencil with accomodation clip
Product Name "Lifetime" was the product line (and is marked on the top-piece), but Flat top is what collectors call this style of 1920s Sheaffer.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1925-9, according to Jonathan Veley's excellent Mechanical Pencil Museum website (see: http://www.jonathanveley.com/mechanical-pencil-museum?id=61).
Length 4-9/16th inches.
Filling System Takes 1.1 mm lead which it extends and retracts well via the traditional twist mechanism. We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color Jade green with gold filled trim. The color is beautiful and very even. Gold filled trim.
Condition Excellent condition, no cracks, chips, or personalization. The top piece is just very slightly dented on its edge, an almost-ubiquitous trait in these pencils. That edge shows some brassing. There are a few light scratches on the barrel. Originally a clip-less model, the pen was fitted with a non-Sheaffer acomodation clip which is quite worn. The pencil is working very well.
