Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black radite with gold plated trim, and a 1/8" cap band. Four lines pattern at the end of the barrel.
Nib MEDIUM large Sheaffer's "Secretary" gold nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a velvety black, shiny pen that is over-sized and impressive. Please note that the cap/barrel threads are a bit worn, and while the cap screws on securely and does not come off, you only get a partial turn.
The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and from posting and otherwise light scratching all around. There is a bit of chipping along the top edge of the clip, and there stress cracks where the clip attaches to the cap. The lever has light pitting along the top left and right edges, and long line scratches on the face. The cap band has microscratching and a bit of plating wear along the top edge. The humped clip has plating wear on the ball end and along the top edge. The imprints are crystal clear. There are interesting grooves impressed in the end of the barrel, they seem to have been made by the threads inside the cap and they almost allow you to thread the cap into the end of the barrel -- HOWEVER, we would caution you against doing do, as it will put stress on the cap lip and possibly cause a crack.
