Type Fountain pen with rough-hewn marble base in excellent working condition
Product Name Unkknown product number, as the label is gone. It is fitted with pen.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA, 1940s (It's not included in the 1935 catalog). It has the "Dry-Proof" pen socket.
Length Pen 7-9/16"; rough round base is about 4" across.
Filling System Lever filler - working perfectly. We replaced the sac, and it's taking, holding, and expelling water splendidly.
Color Black pen. The base is black stone with veins of brown and grey, possibly Mexican onyx.
Nib FINE 14k Feather Touch nib, tending toward extra fine. Excellent condition, very smooth.
Condition The pen is excellent and very smooth to the touch with no wear or scratches. The base is in great conditon, but has a a few nicks and one good sized chip out of the top of the base. It's not very noticeable due to the rough hand-chipped sides (see photo).
